Introduction: Wuxi New District Intercity Railway Station is a modern and intensive regional comprehensive traffic hub, a bright pearl on the Shanghai-Nanjing Intercity Railway artery.
For the plaza is the sunken-type design adopted, the ground level is mainly to meet the entry into and wait at the station and public transport, the function of parking public vehicles; the underground level mainly serves the departure from the station, meanwhile fulfills the functions of a quick connection with the metro, taxi and other public traffic facilities, and around the underground level are also provided catering, retail, public convenience, depositing, inquiry and other service facilities, so that passengers’ various needs are satisfied. The landscape design of the station front plaza transforms this project into a highly distinguishable district centre plaza from a traffic function plaza, and while a strong and rich Wu Culture theme plaza image is brought to people, it is also a hi-tech plaza of energy-saving eco-protection function and sustainable development.
