Introduction: To its south is the internal street of Fuchengmen, to its west is Yao Jia Hutong, to its east is the newly built street and to its north is the extension road. This site is within the second ring of Beijing, close to the first ring. The design tries to demonstrate a “peaceful and tranquil”atmosphere, inspired by the beautiful sentiments in Bai Juyi’s poem.
A small pond below the window,
glittering with water, some white
sand along the bottom enveloped
by bluestones…the pond may not be
deep, but the tranquility it offers is
perfect. When the light rain falls and the
moonlight cascades over the water, the
pond is peaceful and clear.
