Jingan Temple Neighborhood Urban Landscape Design

Location: China/Shanghai
Area:8000 square meters
Design time:2009.03
Owner: Shanghai Urban Planning Bureau of Jing’an District
Project Type: Landscape Deign

Intriduction:
Design Concept: Charming Jing’an on the Rise, Energetic Jing’an with Boundless Night Scenes.

Design Characteristics: The landscape overall orientation is towards the theme of plant and water.
The “water body element” is adopted, to embody the perpetual life and growth of Jing’an, while the “plant element” adopted at the same time is relatively motionless, embodying the both dynamic and static characteristics of the Jing’an Temple district, and creating a nestle-down leisure feeling of stay and rest being available in people.

In the course of this design, we have bent ourselves to creating a unique, open, easily-findable individualistic space with respect to safety and traffic convenience, meanwhile capable of mingling with other functional facilities in the neighborhood. Its design should be adaptable, capable of providing different options according to circumstantial changes.
